INRTU gained the 12 rank of the rating chart of Russian universities by the level of wages of alumni working in IT sphere.
Research center Superjob made the rating based on comparison of average wages of IT specialists – alumni of Russian universities in 2009-2014 years. Superjob analyzed wages for the first six months of 2015 of alumni of 55 Russian universities. IT-specialists with Diploma of Moscow Physical and Technical Institute have the highest monthly income (~130 thousands rubles). Alumni of Irkutsk State University and INRTU (Institute of Cybernetics) get 71 thousands rubles at the average.
Wages of specialists who do not live in Moscow were corrected up to Moscow level using regional coefficients. Regional coefficient is a ratio of the average wage in a certain city one in Moscow.
By the opinion of Superjob Research center, statistics of the last years shows that students who started to work on a probation or are employed in their 3rd or 4th years of study may rely on the wage 10—15% more than their not so active age-mates.
Reference: Faculty of Cybernetics of Irkutsk State Technical University was founded in 1979. During these years 2500 specialists were trained. In December 2013 the Faculty was renamed to Institute of Cybernetics named after Evgenii Iosifovich POPOV, one of the founders of the Faculty. The Institute consists of 4 Departments: Department of Automated Systems, Department of Computer Science, Informatics and Mathematics.
Institute of Cybernetics trains bachelors and masters in two specialties: “Informatics and Computer Science”; “Information Systems and Technologies”. In 2015 Institute of Cybernetics received state financing for 110 students. Minimum score for the bachelor degree program “Informatics and Computer Science” is 205 points, for the program “Information Systems and Technologies” – 200 points.
Entrance examinations are Russian language, mathematics, informatics and information and communication technologies.
