ISTU student presented the program for technological manufacture of products in the aviation industry at the conference "Science. Industry. Defense"

Third year student of NI ISTU, Igor Fokin, won the second place in the XVI All-Russian Conference "Science. Industry. Defense ", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of A.I. Pokryshkin. The event was held on April 24-26 at Novosibirsk State Technical University. The conference brought together more than 200 students, postgraduate students, and young scientists. The purpose of a scientific forum is to establish the contacts between the universities of the country, to create a single information and scientific space on the reviewed topicalities, to increase students' interest in scientific research. There were organized following sections for young researchers: the construction and operation of weapons and ammunition, technological processes in industry, aircraft and helicopter machine engineering, maintenance of air vehiles and aircraft engines; rocket-space equipment, aircraft control systems, fluid dynamics, etc.

I. Fokin performed in the section "Technological processes in industry." He presented the analysis of the system of the production produceability of the design of products for the aviation industry, developed by ISTU scientists in the framework of the project, which is implemented by the university and Ltd. "Corporation"Irkut" under the RF Government Decree N 218 (cooperation of universities and organizations implementing projects to develop high-tech manufacturing).

According to the student, this software is able to significantly speed up the work of structural engineers and technologists at the Irkutsk aviation plant - branch of Ltd. "Corporation "Irkut". The program automatically selects the optimal way of manufacturing of products, taking into account the capabilities of the enterprise (the presence of the necessary tools, equipment, materials costs, etc.). 

"The system eliminates costly and economically irrational variants of design decisions, thereby reducing errors in the course of design and technological preparation of manufacture of the product”, said I. Fokin. “Development analyzes the design solutions and offers options for optimizing the operation of the designer. In addition, there is the possibility of technological control of the products in the design phase, allowing quickly calculating a few options for the structure of the product. The program contains a user-friendly, comprehensible interface. "

According to I. Fokin, the program is built due to a modular and consists of five modules, which are combined by integrated module, "Produceability": “information model of the product ", "process control", "database", "knowledge base". In addition, each of the modules has algorithms to analyze any product in the aircraft manufacturability.

I. Fokin said that at present the shell of expert system is developed, the algorithms to assess the technological design are defined and a database of objects on the working environment is formed. He said that one of the versions of the software has been tested at the Irkutsk aircraft plant.
