The new master's program "Corporate Information Systems. Innovative techniques and platforms" is developed at ISTU in the framework of the direction "Information systems and technology ", along with the programs "Analysis and synthesis of information systems"and "Bioinformatics", that are already operating in the university. The candidate of geological and mineralogical sciences, head of the subdepartment of Informatics of the Faculty of Cybernetics, Oksana Dudareva, leads the direction.
According to the head of the new master's program, it is designed for graduates of the university and professionals with experience. Two-year training due to the undergraduate program will be held only for full-time, the cost will be 128,520 rubles. Undergraduates, studied on the budget base, will get schoolarship. 10 budget seats are allocated on this master's program.
Preparation of the master's program "Corporate Information Systems. Innovative techniques and platforms" will learn how to develop applied information systems on the basis of research achievements of theoretical computer science and modern IT. This will apply a systematic approach to research and development of information systems. Graduates of the master’s programm will be able to implement information systems in the practice of various companies and institutions. They will use their knowledge and skills in solving applications for various purposes.

Currently, the companies feel the need for specialists able to design information systems, based on the understanding of the business objectives of the organization. The trend of "cloud technologies" - technologies of distributed data processing, in which computing resources are provided to the user as online services, becomes more and more obvious. In addition, the specialists, whose competence is in the area of software platform 1C, which is the main standard software for financial and economic activity of enterprises, are in high demand", said O. Dudareva.
Undergraduate students will be working on a master's thesis under the supervision of leading professors and associate professors of the subdepartment of computer science. The teachers of the program are the head of the subdepartment of computer science at ISTU, Oksana Dudareva, associate professor, Irina Orlova and Angela Koroleva, as well as invited experts in the subject area, including the CEO of the group of companies "Forus" Irina Shevtsova.
The educational program, in addition to the fundamental disciplines, will include logic and methodology of science, special chapters of mathematics, business foreign language. School hours are devoted to systems engineering, research methods and modeling of information processes and technologies, the basics of effective management, accounting, management accounting. Listeners of master's program are offered a variety of specialized disciplines, including configuration of 1C: Enterprise, personal data protection, information technology for small business, etc.
Students of undergraduate program will undergo research and teaching practice.
According to O. Dudareva, graduates of the new specialty will be prepared for a variety of activities such as research, analytical, educational, organizational, and management, etc.
Specialists of this direction will successfully work as an auditor of IT infrastructure, experts on implementation of corporative information systems, project managers on implementation in the fields of IT-technologies, including the well-known group of companies "Forus."
