More than 200 students and postgraduates of ISTU will take part in the International Youth Camp "Baikal-2020"

NI ISTU in conjunction with the all-Russian organization "Young Innovative Russia" will supervise innovativness of international youth camp "Baikal-2020", which will take place near the village of Bolshoe Goloustnoe on the lake Baikal from June 28 to July 5. The camp will be attended by more than 200 postgraduates and students of Irkutsk Technical University, said deputy director of ISTU Technopark, Sergey Zakharov, a co-organizer of the event, to the press service of the university.

"This year, as in previous ones, each direction of the educational program of the camp has a responsible organizer. For example, the direction of "Tourism" is supervised by the Tourism Agency of Irkutsk region; "Volunteering" will be organized with the support of the Russian Federal Drug Control ServiceNI ISTU in conjunction with the All-Russian public organization "Young Innovative Russia" will supervise the direction "Innovation." We have developed a course that will be held in the camp for students. During these sessions guys will learn how to prepare projects for submission to the grant programs and competitions, " said S. Zakharov.

He said that the topicality of lectures is vast: from the introduction of innovation and the definition of "innovation" to development of a business project presentation and preparation of business models. The lecturers from the University of Technology will be the head of department of the Development of Innovation activity at ISTU, Vitaliy Ruposov, and the managers of the department of innovation activity, Olga Ishchenko and Kseniya Sinitsina. In addition to theoretical knowledge, participants of camps will be able to master the practical skills of registration of applications for major programs and grants in the course of ISTU master classes. In particular, this applies to federal programs, as well as the competition under the program "UMNIK" which is implemented by the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology.

"Participation in the camp "Baikal-2020" is a good opportunity for young innovators to express themselves and establish useful contacts with representatives of investment funds”, said S. Zakharov. “It is planned that in the framework of the forum there will be held a round table discussion on the development of innovation infrastructure in the regions. It is planned that it will be attended by a representative of the Russian President in the Siberian Federal District, Viktor Tolokonskiy, and heads of Irkutsk, Tomsk and Novosibirsk Technoparks. "

The business program of the International Youth Camp "Baikal-2020" will be attended by federal experts and guests from the State Duma fo RF, leaders of national and international youth organizations and business structures. 

Regional experts will be the members of the Government of the Irkutsk region, the deputies of the Legislative Assembly of Priangarie, representatives of science, the public, business and the media.

According to the organizers, 1,102 applications from 26 subjects of the Russian Federation are applied, and there are also a preliminary agreement with the delegations of the Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan, China, Vietnam and Mongolia. Young people aged 18-30 years are involved in the camp "Baikal-2020". Competitive selection took place in seven areas: "Innovation", "Leadership. Youth and Politics "," Tourism "," Volunteering "," Business "," Career "," Leadership and the development of international relations. "
