Reseach laboratory of high-productivity machining, forming and strengthening

The laboratory is a structural subdivision of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Equipment and Automation of the Institute of Aircraft Construction, Mechanical Engineering and Transport of INRTU.

Area of activity:

Investigation of processes of edge cutting machining, forming and strengthening with regard to all basic fundamental and applied engineering researches carried out at the University.   

Unique features of the laboratory:

Laboratory equipment complex is unique in its composition and has no analogues in Russia. It enables solution of the most up-to-date tasks in the field of high-poductivity machining, forming and strengthening. In the laboratory it is possible to make high-precision experiments with following computer analysis: measurement of cutting force, temperature in working zone; analysis of the quality of material surface, electroconductivity and strength of samples.

Outcomes:

Laboratory is used for the implementation of the project "Development and application of the complex of high-performance technologies for design, engineering preparation and production of the aircraft MC-21" and "Automation and efficiency increase by production and preproduction of new generation aircraft at "Irkut" Corporation with scientific support of ISTU" for "Irkut" Corporation within the framework of Government Decree of the RF № 218.
