Level: Master degree
The program is aimed at training students for research activity with focus on practical solutions to tasks of operating and developing electric power engineering enterprises.
The program graduates are well-grounded in the subjects concerning current issues of relay protection and automatics of electric power engineering facilities;
prospective development of energy consumers’ electrical installations structural, circuit parametrical formations as well as their consumption modes;
development of means for automated analysis and management; application of mathematical optimization and theory of making decisions methods to tasks concerned with forming parameters, circuits, and modes of developing power supply systems;
polyvalent and multicriterion optimization; methods of expert appraisal, making decisions using probabilistic, fuzzy, and uncertain information;
assessment methods for parameters of network power sources, reliability of power supply under system changing commutation conditions, loads, zones of malfunction impact in complicated networks, decomposition of systems in respect of different technical characteristics;
automated management of power supply systems, quality analysis of voltage in accordance with complex standard and economic activity; means and methods for decrease of power consumption and loss.
The program graduates can work for power supply units at industrial enterprises as well as for electric power engineering enterprises.
The graduates can continue their education as postgraduates in “Power technology”, “Power systems and complexes”, “Power plants and electric power engineering systems.”
