Nanotechnology is one of the most dynamically developing areas of science and technology nowadays. In addition to electronics, the prefix "nano" firmly entered the everyday life of the chemical industry and research related to living systems. The master's program “Materials of micro- and nanosystem engineering” is aimed to train specialists in the field of purposeful creation and research of materials and devices whose structural elements are nanometer in size. Such systems are actively used in electronics and semiconductor technologies, the chemical industry, energy, and medicine.Undergraduates study such disciplines as “Equipment for the study of micro- and nanosystems,” “Fundamentals of modern micro-, nanoelectronics,” “Processes for producing micro- and nanomaterials,” “X-ray diagnostics of micro- and nanomaterials,” and a number of others. The presence of a solid material base at the university allows students to gain working skills with the most advanced analytical and technological equipment.
Graduates receive a master's degree and can work in enterprises of the electronic and chemical industries, in research institutions, in enterprises introducing innovative technologies, and also continue their studies in graduate school.
